Saturday At The Movies! Presidential Treason Edition.
Posted by John Wiseman on August 18, 2012 at 9:49am on Tea Party Nation
“I know most everyone has seen this by now, but it really is that important that it needs to be played on a continual loop from now through November 6. One of the things noticed by the 47% of the nation that voted for John McCain in 2008 was that maybe it was not the brightest of ideas to make a guy who clearly hates America and feels that our entire nation is founded on social injustice, Commander in Chief of our armed forces. Well, as it turns out, some of the folks charged with keeping our nation secure have come to that very same conclusion. The media went nuts and prosecuted Scooter Libby for not outing Valerie Plame, who outed herself by blabbing to a newspaper for the purposes of swaying an election. Now we have a case of Barack Obama blabbing out National Security secrets for the purposes of swaying an election. One major difference between the two events so far is that Barack Obama’s verbal diarrhea has cost the lives of at least Seal Team Six, and quite possibly more.” [MORE]

Signs You May Be Conservative
For your friends who identify as moderates, independents, or even Democrats who have expressed disappointment with Democrat leadership…
You may be a conservative and not even know it. Do you identify with a majority of the following statements?
- The Constitution limits the federal government, and should thereby work to prevent government’s intrusion into the lives of citizens.
- Some responsibilities of government are – and should be – reserved for the President, some for Congress, some for the Supreme Court, some for the states, and some for people to work out by themselves, including by forming voluntary associations.
- It isn’t the responsibility of the President or the federal government in general to try to solve all problems.
- Changing something through law or government policy can make things worse.
- Human rights are God-given or natural, not granted by governments.
- People should be as free as possible to enjoy the fruits of their own decisions and work.
- People should generally be free to do what they want with what they own, as long as it does not infringe on the rights of other people.
- There are real differences between men and women in addition to reproductive organs.
- Both masculinity and femininity have value and contribute positively to society.
- Parents should be responsible for and have authority over their own minor children, only overridden by government intrusion when they demonstrate they are neglectful or otherwise abusive parents.
- Unless one of them is abusive, it is best that children are raised with both their mother and father who are married to each other.
- It is better that a baby be born and adopted by such a family than for the baby’s mother to have an abortion.
- If someone who practices a religion you don’t says they do or will pray for you, you respond with “thank you”, not negativity or hostility.
- People should be treated differently by government based on what they do, not their skin color, ethnicity, beliefs, or sexual orientation.
- Since immigrants choose to come here, they need to adapt enough to live by our laws and policies; we’re under no obligation to change to accommodate their traditions.
- Our nation should defend itself with force, which will sometimes involve killing people and breaking things in other countries.
If you identify with these, or a majority of them, you just may be a conservative. So will you vote accordingly with your wallet, your time, your words, and your actual votes?

Reasons to Vote Democratic

Pick Your Own Personal Reason
When your friends can’t explain why they voted for Democratic national politicians, give them this list. They can then pick a reason .
10. I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn’t.
9. I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.
8. I voted Democrat because Freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.
7. I voted Democrat because I’m way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.
6. I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can’t tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don’t start driving a Prius.
5. I voted Democrat because I’m not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies through abortion so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.
4. I voted Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits.
3. I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the democrats see fit.
2. I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.
1. I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my ass that it is unlikely that I’ll ever have another point of view.
‘The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.’ So……..on second thought I’ll keep my Freedom, my God and my Guns…
You keep the Change…
Get Out and vote November 2nd 2010.
Karl Jennings Sex-in-Schools Scandal
Posted in Books, Politics, Sex in Schools on 10 December 09| Leave a Comment »
There is some other set of so-called “morals” that is taking over our country. This set of “morals” is being taught to our children in school. To **children** in K-6 and 7-12. It is being taught through assigned reading matter and conferences. Both modalities teach how to have sex – much of the material relates to gay sex and sex between adults and minors.
I’m not easily shocked, but I was angered, shocked and dismayed when I delved deeper into this morass of filth.
Thanks to Gateway Pundit, Big Government, and Michelle Malkin for breaking this story.
Folks, we have a lot of work to do to save our children and our country. As a tax-paying citizen, I plan to inspect the school libraries in my district and if ANY of the reading list books are on the shelves, I shall be talking – loudly – to the press.
I don’t believe in book burning, nor do I believe in suppressing books. I do, however, believe there is age appropriateness. Some books are not for children under 12, others are not for children under 18, and still others are inappropriate for anyone under 21. There is nothing wrong with keeping books with explicit sexual content out of the hands of minors. Our children are sexualized all too soon as it is. These books are designed to make sex, particularly gay sex, acceptable to children, to pique their curiosity, and to encourage sexual experimentation.
Brace yourself, and take a trip through the twisted aisles of the GLSEN “library.”

What is going on that I consider important?
Have you seen the Manhattan Declaration as yet??
I have blogged about it HERE and HERE. Great stuff!!
Also, the proposed GOP 10-point “Purity Test” is an interesting news item.
The recent Mindanao Massacre is crowding the news. They are estimating 50 people slain at this point.
Last week, a Russian Orthodox Priest was murdered in his Church and the choir director was seriously injured. The current thought is that this was a revent killing by a Muslim for the priest’s anti-Islam stance and his attempts to convert Muslims. So the US and the Middle East are not the only places in which this kind of atrocity is occurring.
Then, this AM, we hear that Dubai is heading toward bankruptcy! Time for a world-wide depression? Possibly. Certainly, the economic problems of an oil-producing nation are something to take note of. If it is in trouble, how, then can the rest of the world not be in trouble?
The Fix – Too True to be Good!
Posted in Politics on 27 November 09| Leave a Comment »
A recent article in the Business Section of the St. Petersburg, Florida Times asked readers for ideas on: “How Would You Fix the Economy?”
I think this guy nailed it.
_____
Dear Mr. President:
Please find below my suggestion for fixing America’s economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan. You can call it the “Patriotic Retirement Plan”:
There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them a million dollars apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:
1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings = Unemployment fixed.
2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered = Auto Industry fixed.
3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage = Housing Crisis fixed.
It can’t get any easier than that.
P.S. If more money is needed, have all members of Congress pay their taxes and, Mr. President, while you’re at it, make Congress retire on Social Security and Medicare. Then I’ll bet both programs would be fixed in a trice.

Right Wing Extremism
Posted in Personal Responsibility, Politics, Responsibility on 16 April 09| Leave a Comment »
I am sooooo tired of hearing that holding any conservative values and beliefs are “right wing extremism” I could just puke!
Big Dog posted a lovely blog post yesterday about it:
Big Dog House: I am a Right Wing Extremist
I replied on his website, but I’ll post my reply here:
I, too, am a right wing extremist!
I think the best president we have had in my lifetime is Ronald Reagan.
I regret not being politically active when I was younger so that this would not be happening to my children and grandchildren.
I tell them to be very active on the local level, and the chances are good that the attitudes and policies will “trickle up” through state and federal government.
I just hope they will be able to “take back” our country from the bone-headed liberal bureaucrats.
In the meantime, we will work with our local govt and representatives to improve things here. And support the conservative parties (none of which express all our values) and hope they will provide a buffer between us, our family and the extremes.
God help us all!
I believe that. I agree with every point in Big Dog’s post. Further, I do NOT think the “US of Govt” has the “people-given” right to impose onerous taxes on the citizens, to confiscate their arms, or to take-over the press either through political influence or monetary / in-kind bribes thus leading them to report those items supportive of government and to the detriment of the people.
I believe people have the “right” and the “opportunity” both to succeed and to fail – based on their own decisions. I am not a millionaire – based on my own decisions. I am in a very precarious position, financially – based on my own decisions. Had I made different decisions, I either would be a street person or a millionaire. I could have made better decisions – or worse decisions. But those decisions were MINE – not dictated by the government. I will not blame anyone else for this.
I believe every person should have equal opportunity to succeed or fail based on their own choices, decisions, education, merits or demerits.
I don’t believe our government has the “right” to decide to support non-productive people. This is what we have charities for.
At this point, I think we, the people, need to rescind the federal government’s power to tax us and to reduce the economy to ashes. I don’t care if it’s a flat-tax or the fair-tax at this point. But the onerous burden of taxes needs to be lifted and the suppression of our rights as free-citizens needs to be restored – or taken back.
Good Grief! Thomas Jefferson is not just rolling, but spinning, in his grave!

First they came for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me.

Connecticut has an act before their state legislature that would essentially require that the Roman Catholic Church become congregationalist rather than hierarchical.
This is an unprecedented interference by a state into the churches. It matters not whether you are Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, Jew, Buddhist, Hindu, or Moslem. This act essentially makes all parishes, all local and regional religious groups into congregation-ruled organizations.
This is an attack on religion by the state of Connecticut regardless of the First Amendment of the Constitution.
The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property (www.tfp.org) is calling on all Americans to repudiate and protest Connecticut’s SB 1098 and to be vigilant against similar measures in other states.

What Happened to Our Individual Responsibility?

The news is full of news of the Great Bailout. The panicked cries of Obama to pass the stimulus bill – a bill with so many zeroes in it that one cannot comprehend the amount – fill the air.
An article for Reuters by Thomas Ferraro says in part:
“This agreement is not bipartisan,” scoffed Republican Senator John McCain, who lost the 2008 White House race to Obama.
Appearing on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” McCain argued that the package is twice as much as needed. He also noted just three Republicans in the 100-member Senate back it.
McCain said he believed the rescue package “may help a bit,” but will also saddle future generations with increased federal debt.
So, what are we to make of this mess?
My own opinion, for what it’s worth, is that we need to return to individual responsibility. If you lose your job, find another. It may not pay as much as the last one, but you can work up to your previous salary over time. If you are still employed, rejoice in your job and do an even better, more productive, more ethical job than before. Give your employer his/her due. Cut expenses – just as people did generations ago.
Repair that which is torn or broken. Step down the cuts of beef or pork or chicken you eat. Hunters, hunt for meat – don’t throw away anything that is safely edible. Grow a vegetable garden. Use cloth rather than paper. Wear your clothes more than once before you wash them – this requires some care.
There used to be, and I discovered there still are, clothing protectors called shields. They protect garments from perspiration, thus enabling people to wear things 2 or even 3 or 4 times between washings.
Purchase well-made shoes. They may cost more initially, but they will last longer than 3 poorly made pairs. Find a good shoe repair shop, and use it to keep your well-made shoes in repair.
These are only a few of the things we can do to help ourselves. If you do a Google search on the word “frugal,” you will get thousands of “hits.” But it almost all falls into the category of “make do, reuse, and repair.” Couponing may help your grocery bill a bit, but it won’t make you money.
More than anything, though we need honesty and positive ethics in public life. We don’t need the government to “bail us out.” We need honest political practices. We need honest Senators and Representatives. We need ethical politicians – not people who take bribes from all sorts and conditions of low-lifes, not people who add pork to bills. We need ethical business men who will keep the customers as well as the stockholders in mind and will honest in all of their business and personal practices.
Individual responsibility was one of the guiding principles of the Founding Fathers. We need a good dose of that in public, business and private lives, now.

Obama OK’d ‘Live Born’ Abortion
Tuesday, August 26, 2008 9:38 AM
By: Jim MeyersSen. Barack Obama’s pick of Sen. Joseph Biden, a pro-choice Catholic, will most certainly raise the abortion issue to a new level in the campaign.
Obama’s own record on abortion is steeped in controversy.
Barack Obama not only has a perfect record in opposing pro-life legislation, he even fought against a bill protecting the right to life of a baby born alive.
Author David Freddoso chronicles Obama’s radical pro-abortion record in his best-selling book “The Case Against Barack Obama: The Unlikely Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the Media’s Favorite Candidate.”
In March 2001, a bill was introduced in the Illinois Senate, where Obama was then serving, that stated in part: “A live child born as a result of an abortion shall be fully recognized as a human person and accorded immediate protection under the law.”
The bill came following an investigation of a Chicago-area hospital that left babies born alive to die without medical care.
[– MORE –]
As a nurse who worked in maternity, and a nurse-midwife who delivered babies and took care of women during pregnancy and gave women’s health care after delivery, I am horrified by abortion.
Back when I was a new nurse-midwife, Roe v Wade came through the Supreme Court. The hospital began offering abortion care. The usual method at that time was what we referred to as “salting out.” Part of the amniotic fluid which surrounds the baby was removed. A hypertonic (strong) saline solution (salt water) was injected into the sac surrounding the baby. The strong solution of salt water made the uterus contract because of irritation. It also burned the baby and eventually killed it. Except when it didn’t. I would estimate that about 20% of the babies delivered at that part of the hospital (they had their own wing of the hospital) were born alive. Although they were “previable,” and thus would not have survived anyway, it was horrifyingly wrenching to see these tiny babies, struggling to breathe and crying. Their fragile skin was burned and was sloughing off. There was no comfort offered these tiny babies. They were left in metal bedpans, in an empty room, to die. And, eventually they did. After one time working back there, I refused to work there anymore. I couldn’t stomach it. I believed then, and I believe now, that this was murder.
I have spent the years since that praying to God for forgiveness for being involved, even peripherally, in this horror.
The Abortion Icon
This Icon {click image for larger size} depicts, on the right, the tribulation of those who have abortions. You can see all the ladies going to the New Herodias. She is depicted as a queen with snakes for hair. (King Herod was the one who killed all the male babies under 2 years old so that the Infant Jesus would die with them.) You can see the doctor putting his sword through the child, and feeding it to the beast. And you can see the lamentation of the Angel, and of one woman as she loses her child to abortion. To the left, we see the Orthodox (or correct) Family: It has the Mother and Father taking care of the kids, the kids playing, and it shows the Mother carrying her cross because child-rearing was meant to be a struggle. But it was meant to be a struggle that is part of the cross that we pick up daily to follow Christ. It is not something to be rejected but something, if the Lord wills it, that everyone should accept humbly. Above the Orthodox Family are two people: On the right is St. Stylianos, who was a big help for children because he helped set up institutions which resemble the day care centers we have today. The other person, on the left, is the Theotokos, the Holy Virgin Mary, who accepted the pain and awesome responsibility of being the guardian of Christ. Imagine if she had decided, while she was pregnant, to abort Jesus because she couldn’t handle the resonsibility. Where would we have been now?
